Job coaches are committed to appointing job seekers to employment activities that require the same levels of time and energy as full time employment. The goal is to prepare the job seeker for the demands of the workplace.
Job coaches are dedicated to the mission that:

Case consultants work with job seekers to help overcome personal barriers to employment. Some of those services include:
Secure child care Assist the participant in setting goals for long term self-sufficiency |
The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) has a goal to increase and retain employment, and to increase earnings of participants with enhanced job skills. Businesses and county officials administer the system. Each participant will be responsible for creating his or her own individualized employment plan, and one-stop services will help them reach their goals. This is accomplished by the use of Core, Intensive, and Training Services.

Core Services are:
| Job search and placement assistance Job listings Outreach, intake, and orientation Follow-up services for twelve months following job placement |
Intensive Services are:
| Comprehensive assessments of skills and service needs Development of an employment plan Career counseling Case management services Short term pre-vocational services |
The Core and Intensive Services take approximately twelve weeks to complete. If the participant along with their case manager determines a need for additional training, participants may then move on to the training phase.

WIA funds will be targeted to help customers obtain skills that are high demand occupations for the county.
