Mobile Unit

The Mobile Unit became a reality in Huron County in August of 2000. It is an office on wheels  that conducts business in three separate areas to provide confidentiality.The Mobile Unit travels according to a schedule to reach those in outlying areas of Huron County.

Employer Services

The Mobile Unit participates in job fairs, business openings, and other special events. The Mobile Unit staff can help relieve some of the hardships of layoffs or shutdowns by being onsite and making available to individuals Rapid Response assistance programs offered by the Huron County Department of Job & Family Services.

Job Seeker Services

The Mobile Unit serves job seekers by traveling throughout Huron County to bring services directly to those in need. It is not always easy to get transportation to Norwalk, and this is an alternative method of connecting those in need of assistance with workforce development and social service programs.
